Some of you may well have seen films at the Jubilee Hall before. We hope that this re-born venture will again become a valuable community asset and will develop, over time, to provide enjoyment for individuals and families, young and old, across a range of film genre.
The Jubilee Hall has partnered with Flicks in the Sticks, an experienced community film organisation, to bring the films to our community. You can view the types of films shown at Flicks in the Sticks venues here:
Moreover, we would like to thank The Brewood and District Rotary Club for their support in enabling films to be shown again at the Jubilee Hall.
Flicks in the Sticks
Flicks in the Sticks will offer advice to the Jubilee Hall in its selection of films to ensure that the films selected have a range of appeal. That said, the Jubilee Hall is free to pick from a wider range of films including niche films, different genres and filmed, live, productions. The Royal Ballet and the Royal Shakespeare Company productions being examples of those.
The Jubilee Hall will look to establish the interest in those opportunities by seeking the views of their audiences to shape what, and when, films are shown.
Our Approach
With any new venture a cautious approach is necessary and, initially, we may not be able to cater for everyone's specific desires, but with your support, engagement and a step-by-step approach, and learning along the way, we can make this a sustainable venture for our community.
Would you like to be kept informed?
If you are interested in being kept informed about films at the Jubilee Hall, or would like to assist in their selection, or are interested in helping to run them, please send a brief email to
productions@brewoodjubileehall.co.uk
Your email address will then be added to a circulation list for the Jubilee Hall to engage with you.
What We Can and Can’t Do
Whilst there are things we can't do immediately, such as show "blockbusters" as soon as they are released, we can get around to showing them, particularly with your engagement, by indicating your interests. Similarly, we will probably never be able to provide reclinable settees or waitress service but you can always bring a cushion!
We will however be able to provide sensibly priced tickets, a pint or a glass of wine (or two) from the bar along with snacks to enable you to socialise with your friends, old and new. We'll also make sure that you are greeted by volunteers whose aim is to make your visit enjoyable.
