Aikido is a unique Japanese martial art with a lineage dating back to the Samurai.
A sophisticated self-defence system based on the ancient form of daito ryu aiki jujitsu which is still used today by Japanese police.
Aikido provides an individual with skills and knowledge to be able to defend against the attacker.
Steven Seagal, an exponent and 7th Dan in Aikido, has made many successful movies in the 90's such as Under Seige, Hard to Kill, Marked for death and many more. His techniques show how Aikido can be extremely effective and lethal in a combat and self-defence scenario.
Here at Ronin both traditional and combat Aikido is taught by a highly experienced 5th Dan instructor and a female 2nd kyu brown belt.
Ronin Aikido offers traditional Aikido training with a focus on honour, discipline, and self-improvement while promoting and maintaining the values of the samurai spirit.
